The Star Box Office Awards saw stars Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan.
Box Office India magazine and Star Plus have joined hands and formulated ‘Star Box Office Awards’. Celebrities from Bollywood flocked to attend the award ceremony held at YRF Studios in Mumbai on October 9, 2014.
The awards recognised the achievements of Hindi movies at the box office. Celebrities who attended the event included, Arbaaz Khan, Salman Khan, Divya Khosla, Divya Dutta, Sidharth Roy Kapur, Jeetendra, Ekta Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Madhoo Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Raveena Tandon, Tusshar Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Imtiaz Ali, Kajol, Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh, Amitabh Bachchan and Shahid Kapoor. 
The event was also attended by the ‘Happy New Year’ cast Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Sonu Sood, Farah Khan, Boman Irani and Abhishek Bachchan. The awards honored actors and directors of the year and also lauded the records set at the box office. 
The event was hosted by actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Ali Zafar. Salman interacted with the media, saying, “This is the first edition of Star Box Office India Awards and I hope these awards continue to happen every year.” 
Other attendees of the event included Randeep Hooda, Sajid Nadiadwala, Elli Avram, Nikhil Dwivedi, Richa Chadda, Bhushan Kumar, Rohit Shetty and many others.
