Makers of Baahubali 2 unanimously took this decision to pay their respects to one of Indian cinema’s legendary actors, Late Vinod Khanna

Baahubali 2 movie premiere has been canceled last minute as a mark of respect to the Late Vinod Khanna. The legendary actor passed away today morning after a prolonged battle with bladder cancer. The actor was hospitalized last month due to his deteriorating health. However, family members chose to keep his condition under wraps and released a public statement stating that the actor suffered severe dehydration and will be out of the hospital soon.

The news of the MP’s demise has left fans shocked across the country and the entire Industry has come together to mourn his loss on social media platforms. Owning to the widespread feeling of loss and sadness across the industry makers of Baahubali 2 decided to put off it’s movie screening which was scheduled for today. Karan Johar, who will be presenting the Hindi version of Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion under the banner of Dharma Productions announced the same on his official Twitter account. He said, “As a mark of respect to our beloved Vinod Khanna the entire team of Baahubali has decided to cancel the premiere tonight…”

In a joint statement issued to the media, Karan Johar and director SS Rajamouli said, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved, the legendary Vinod Khanna. The demise has come as a huge shock to all of us. As a mark of respect for our dearly departed, the premiere event of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is now cancelled.”
