Cast – Rajkummar Rao, Shruti Haasan, Herry Tangiri, Darshan Jariwala, Ninad Kamat

Bollywood Garam Rating – 2/5

Shruti Haasan and Rajkumar Rao starrer Behen Hogi Teri is a romantic-comedy film. The story is based on the fact that every boy in the neighborhood is considered as the girl’s brother. The film revolves around Gattu (Rajkumar Rao) who loves Binny (Shruti Haasan) but is misunderstood by everyone to have brotherly feelings for Binny. The title itself defines the story.

Gattu falls in love with Binny since he was a child and wishes to marry her. He wins her over after doing Roadies-like tasks. Gattu’s father (Darshan Jariwala) sees Binny with Gattu’s friend Bhura (Herry Tangiri) and a confusion is created. Later, Binny is engaged to Rahul (Gautam Gulati) and Gattu’s heart breaks. He asks Binny to choose between him and Rahul.

According to the neighborhood, Gattu is Binny’s rakhi-brother. The movie incorporates casual sexism and regressive norms. The movie collapses when the second half of the film comes. The plots start to overlap each other and a complete chaos is created.

The film is all about Rajkumar Rao’s character. Shruti has also done an amazing job. The film is a good one and relates to old fashion thoughts.
