Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt is spending his days at the Yerwada Prison in Pune. Since the actor is in jail, he is allowed to meet visitors only once in a month, for just 20 minutes. However, the ‘Munna Bhai’ actor is keeping in touch with his family in another way, as he makes sure that he writes letters to his wife Manyata and they are sent through post services, as is the practice.
Meanwhile, doting wife is not just reading his letters, but is also replying to Sanjay. Manyata keeps him informed about their children and the work of their production house. The actress also visited Dutt in jail, but without their children. Sanjay surrendered to the court in May 2013, keeping in mind the deadline of the Supreme Court and will be completing his remaining 42-month sentence in the 1993 bomb blasts case.
Dutt has already completed 18 months in jail. In March 2013, the Supreme Court said that it reduced the star’s sentence to five years from six years, as this sentence was awarded to him by the TADA Court in 2006 due to illegal possession of arms.
Sanjay married Manyata in a private wedding ceremony in 2002 and they have two children together, Shahran Dutt and Iqra Dutt.
