Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan’s period gangster film to release in 2018!

Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan will soon begin shoot for the upcoming film based on Mumbai’s mafia world

Actors Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan proved to be a successful pairing in Bollywood after the success of Piku. The actors are once again ready to bee seen sharing the screen space in an upcoming period ganger film co-produced by Vishal Bharadwaj and KriArj Entertainent. The film is expected to be directed by Honey Trehan and will release on 2 October, 2018.

The untitled flick is based on Mumbai’s Mafia world and Deepika will be seen playing the role of a female don Rahima Khan, who is also known as Sapna Didi. Rahima Khan makes a plan to kill the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim to take revenge of her husband’s death but gets killed in the process.

Reports from a leading daily mentioned that Padukone was initially apprehensive to work with debutant Honey Trehan but the script convinced her. The actress will start shooting for the film after she completes Padmavati. Padmavati also stars rumoured boyfriend Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. The film is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and is scheduled to be released on November 17, 2017.

Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan’s film Piku also starred Amitabh Bachchan and did a reasonably good business at the box office. The actress played the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter.
