Official teaser of Don 3 confirms presence of Ranveer Singh

After a few unconfirmed reports, the official announcement has been made about Don 3. The makers of the film have revealed its first teaser which has confirmed the presence of Ranveer Singh as the Don while replacing Shah Rukh Khan. Director Farhan Akhtar shared the teaser that begins with Ranveer sitting in a high rise building. The actor can be seen wearing a leather jacket with boots while he smokes a cigarette while introducing himself as Don.

Farhan had on August 8, 2023 shared a note while hinting about the new era of Don. The director shared that it was in the year 1978 when the audience had first witnessed the rage of Don with the superstar of Bollywood Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. Farhan added that the first film continues to hold its charm, Excel Entertainment announces his directorial return with Don. The franchise already consists of the iconic two films. The other film was released with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead in 2006 and 2011. Farhan is now ready to reach new boundaries in terms of story-telling in the third franchise.

The director expressed that it was the right time to take the legacy of Don forward to new heights. Farhan in his message appealed the audience to shower Ranveer with the love that was also shown to Mr. Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. The earlier film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Boman Irani playing vital roles.

The film was released in 2006 and had also won the Best Asian Film award at the Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival. The sequel of the film was released in 2011 and had proved to be a hit at the box office. Don 2 had also seen Hrithik Roshan playing a cameo. It will be interesting to see Farhan returning to the director’s chair with the third installment of Don.
