Bollywood Garam: Madhur Bhandarkar’s search for the lead actor in his upcoming movie ‘Heroine’ is over. The makers of the movie have roped in the ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi’ actor Arunoday Singh for the male lead opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Earlier, there were reports that husband Abhishek Bachchan would be playing the role, but director Madhur has officially finalized Arunoday for the role. In the movie, Singh will be playing the role of a popular cricketer, who is dating a top actress in the film industry.
There have been several inspirations in the industry for the cricketer and actress role in the movie. Bollywood actresses have always wooed the cricketers since years with many high-profile marriages also taking place over the years. Madhur was longing to finish the cast of the movie after it was announced at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
While expressing his thoughts over the new role, Arunoday said that he is more than excited to play a role opposite ‘Devdas’ actress Aishwarya. The actor said that he is not supposed to discuss anything about the role, but added that he feels lucky to work with a film maker like Madhur and to have a co-star like Aishwarya. The actor also added that he is a big fans of Madhur’s films like Page 3 and ‘Chandni Bar’.
