‘Don 2’ satellite rights sold for 37 crores

As the makers of the movie ‘Don 2’ are eagerly waiting for the release of the movie so that they could start minting money, the film has already started earning. The satellite rights of the movie have been sold to Zee TV in a huge deal of Rs. 37 crores.

It is said to be one of the major deals ever cracked in the history of Indian cinema. The makers too are confident that ‘Don 2’ is surely going to appeal the audience and the presence of the super star Shahrukh Khan is also going to work in their favor.

The movie which is directed by Farhan Akhtar, will hit the theatres on December 23, 2011 and will continue the story of the 2006 remake of the classic movie ‘Don’ which starred Amitabh Bachchan. Apart from Shahrukh, the movie has Priyanka Chopra, Om Puri, Lara Dutta and Boman Irani.

Actress Kareena Kapoor will be doing a cameo for the film. The music of the movie is already becoming popular and the promos too are building the curiosity of the audience. Most of the movie has been shot in Malaysia. Shahrukh and Priyanka Chopra had to go through special martial arts training for the shoot.
