Salman Khan begins shoot for ‘Dabangg 2’ in Mumbai


The shooting of the much awaited movie ‘Dabangg 2’ has started in Mumbai. Bollywood actor Salman Khan the protagonist in the movie began with the shoot on March 9, 2012 at the Kamal Amrohi Studios also known as Kamalistan.

12 units of the studio houses have been rented exclusively for the shoot of the movie till the first schedule concludes. The shoot began amidst tight security with a ring of 80 bodyguards.

For the first time in Bollywood the whole studio has been given in hire for the shoot of just one film. One of the unit member confirmed that the earlier movie was shot in a small town of Uttar Pradesh. Now Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha are married in the movie and have moved to a bigger city in Kanpur.

The whole team of the movie has thus created a huge set of the Kanpur City which has occupied almost 80 percent of the studio. Typical bungalows have been created including Salman’s house and a police station. The creative team has also created some of the popular streets, shops, bylanes, which are the characteristics of the city. In the sequel Salman has become an affluent man and the decor of the house will reflect that too.
