Kareena Kapoor’s latest ad shoot with Malabar Gold and Diamonds in September before the birth of baby boy Taimur Ali Khan has garnered more than 8 Million views on youtube and social media for a very special reason.

The ad film has become a trending topic with more than a thousand tweets floated around the hashtags – #KareenasAnniversarySurprise,#WhoSurpriseKareena,#KareenaSurprised.

No glitter, no glamour – Malabar Gold & Diamond’s latest brand film, has been trending since it’s release as it brings in a new phase in jewelery advertising. While all other jewelers portray the end user as a bride, Malabar Jewelers took an unconventional route and shifted the focus on men looking to gift jewelry to their partners.

The one minute ad film revolves around a telephonic conversation between husband and wife, which happen to be Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in this case – the #KareenasAnniversarySurprise film captures the tale of a surprise!

‘Every woman in this world likes two things – surprise and diamond!’ 

This philosophy has been captured well by the trending ad campaign. It has managed to open conversations and there are a lot of positive sentiments on social media with regards to the campaign.
