Bollywood’s budding star, Tiger Shroff attended the Mumbai International Motor Show in the famous city on March 9, 2017. Shroff was seen posing with vintage cars at the motor show and also took time to interacted with the attending media.
Tiger, at the event was also asked about his opinion about director Ram Gopal Varma’s recent comments on Twitter. Varma, who is known for his controversial comments had tweeted about Tiger’s picture on a magazine cover and gave a caption, “Truly real men like Bruce Lee and ‘bindasbhidu never pose in a ‘Urmliaish’ way.” He was referring to Jackie Shroff’s old co-star from the film Rangeela, Urmila Matondkar, who had posed in a similar way for the movie. The director also added that the actor must learn ‘machoism’ from father Jackie Shroff. The veteran actor will soon be seen in Gopal Varma’s soon-to-be-released film, Sarkar 3, alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
The actor responded that Varma is a senior film maker and has the right to have an opinion. The Heropanti actor added, “I am not even half the man that my father is. He is the original hero. Even if I tried I can’t be like him. But everyone has the freedom of speech.”
At the same time, the actor also said that he does not care if people react negatively to his artistic expression. A number of celebrities, including Sonam Kapoor, bit back at the director for his comments, but in a world of social media, it’s rare for anyone to hold their tongue with their opinions.
