Sakshi Tanwar dazzles on the ramp in a silk embroidered lehenga choli by Anju Modi

Actress Sakshi Tanwar turned muse for designer Anju Modi on Day 3 of the Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2017 held in New Delhi on March 17, 2017. After showing off her acting skills in the movie ‘Dangal’ opposite Aamir Khan, Sakshi dazzled on the ramp as the showstopper.

The actress was asked about her confidence on the ramp to which she said, “I think the confidence came because of my theatre background because there also you are in direct contact with light with no one visible. So even when I don’t see anybody, you know that people are watching you. The connection is there and this feeling helped me here too”. Sakshi looked gorgeous in a ivory lehenga choli with golden details and accessories.

Her presence on the ramp was made the entire atmosphere cheerful. It wasn’t just about Sakshi’s outfit, but her smile which was contagious and made her glow. The collection by Anju was titled as ‘Neelambar’ and consisted of structural silhouettes with some details of minarets and showcased a traditional collection on the ramp.

Anju Modi, while talking about her showstopper said that Sakshi has an amazing mature thinking and that they have always valued the inner-self of the actress.

Designer Anju Modi presented an exquisite collection inspired by architecture. It was a juxtaposition of fluid floral motifs, structural silhouettes and organic elements. Neelambar channeled the core tenets of her label – vintage, organic and timeless.  The entire collection was a treat to the eyes with it’s successful of our rich textile legacy and traditional craftsmanship with contemporary designs and modernity.
