After Sanjay Dutt, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan seems to be in trouble. New charges have been put up against actors like Saif, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu. These charges are in relation to a 14-year-old Blackbuck shooting case, in which the stars were involved.
Chandrakala Jain, the chief judicial magistrate had read out the charges against the actors, under the sections 9/51 and 9/52 of the Wildlife Protection Act, as well as section 149 of the Indian Penal Code. The case has been posted for the next hearing on April 27, 2013. The actors involved in the case have denied the charges which were read out by the judge.
Bollywood star Salman Khan has also been involved in the case. Charges against the actors were revised in December 2012, where Salman Khan was booked under section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act. The others who were involved in the case included a local Dushyant Singh, who was booked under section 51/52 of the Wildlife Protection Act and section 149 of Indian Penal Code.
The Bollywood actors have been accused of poaching two Blackbucks on October 1 and October 2, in the year 1998 in Kankani village near Jodhpur, during the shooting of the movie ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’.
