Filmmaker turned actor Farhan Akhtar has been named as the face of National Geographic’s campaign Mission Blue. The Mission Blue aims to address the serious concern of water scarcity and will help to spread awareness and inform people with knowledge on what can be done to help tackle the situation. The mission was announced at an event in Mumbai on April 20, 2017 in presence of Farhan along with other eminent Bollywood directors Hansal Mehta, Imtiaz Ali, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and Madhur Bhandarkar, who are all also a part of this mission.
Farhan during the event said that he was proud to be a part of the iconic brand which is working for the cause of preserving the planet. The Rock On actor wore a suit with sneakers and interacted with media and fellow filmmakers during the event.
Farhan was last seen in the movie Raees and is currently filming for the upcoming flick Lucknow Central.
