Arjun Rampal is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Daddy scheduled for September 8, 2017. A special screening was organized by Arjun for family and close friends in Mumbai on September 6, 2017. Arjun has also turned in to a writer and a producer for the upcoming biopic based on the gangster Arun Gawli’s life.
The screening event also saw the presence of Arjun’s daughters, Mahikaa and Myra and wife Mehr Rampal. The Aankhein actor during an interview spoke about the project and said, “When I was first approached, I did not like the script, it wasn’t exciting. The producer’s sensibility was different.”
The upcoming film is about Arun Gawli, who was fondly known as Daddy among his followers. The gangster is at present in jail serving a sentence. Arjun added in the interview that it was tough for him to convince the man himself for the biopic as he had apprehensions about the portrayal of him and his family as even they are a part of the script. But then Gawli reportedly saw the consistency of the makers and asked them to go ahead with the flick.
