While Deepika Padukone is busy promoting her upcoming film Padmavati, the actress was clicked cutting a cake with her fans in Mumbai on November 15, 2017. The Om Shanti Om actress was seen in a full sleeved t-shirt with a black jegging.
Her upcoming film, Padmavati will see her playing the lead role of Rani Padmini. The film is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and also stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. The makers recently released the song Ghoomar, which has shown Deepika show off her ghoomar dance skills in a Rajasthani folk song. The film will mark her third film with Bhansali after Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ramleela and Bajirao Mastani.
The film is in deep controversy in recent times as it is reportedly facing a revolt from the Rajput community over the content of the film. Activists of the community recently created a ruckus at a theatre in Rajkot, Rajasthan where the trailer of the film was showcased. The film is expected to be released in theatres on December 1, 2017.
