Shahid Kapoor has a casual meet with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra

Shahid Kapoor, who is currently enjoying family time with daughter Misha and wife Mira Rajput, visited the office of filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra in Mumbai on December 12, 2017. Shahid was seen in a casual grey t-shirt and grey shorts with a grey cap and shoes while the filmmaker was seen in a casual white t-shirt and black pyjamas.

The actor and director duo were all smiles as they posed for the shutterbugs outside the office. While Shahid’s upcoming film Padmavati has taken a back seat due to a ban, the actor is looking forward to future projects. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh and is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Padmavati was in news in recent times after reports that the director tried to make changes in the story about Rani Padmini. The news caused an outrage among the Rajput community people, who burst out in to protests. A few Rajput communities sought ban on the film and is with the CBFC to decide if the film can be released or not.

Shahid is also a part of the upcoming film Batti Gul Meter Chalu by Shree Narayan Singh. The shooting of the film is currently in progress and is scheduled to be released on August 31, 2018. The makers of Batti Gul Meter Chalu are yet to finalise the female lead of the film. There were reports that Katrina Kaif has been approached for the role but nothing has been finalised by the makers so far.
