BollywoodGaram.com: The Lighthouse Project initiative has been launched by Farhan Akhtar and Trishya Screwvala, the daughter of Ronnie Screwvala. The initiative is aimed to provide structured, focused and impact-driven volunteering program in India.
This is the first-of-its-kind mentoring program in the country, which will connect college students and working professionals with children from under resourced communities. The project has been built on the need for creating reliable adult role models for young children and the mentors will help these children the develop important life skills and expose them to the world beyond their own.
The project’s launch was supported by celebrities like Farhan Akhtar and Nandini Sardesai.
