Cast and crew of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah bid adieu to Dr. Hansraaj Hathi at funeral

The entire cast and crew of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah attend the funeral of actor Kavi Kumar Azad who was better known as Dr. Hansraaj Hathi in Mumbai on July 10, 2018. Several friends and colleagues of the TV actor flocked to offer their condolences.

Kavi Kumar Azad, who was also known as Dr. Hansraaj Hathi in the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, passed away due to a massive heart attack at a hospital in Mumbai on July 9, 2018. The character of Dr. Hansraj Hathi was one of the most iconic characters on the show, which has been ruling the TRP charts since the time of its inception.

Producer of the show Asit Kumar Modi, in a statement said, “We are very sad to inform the loss of our senior actor Kavi Kumar Azaad. He was playing the character of Dr Hathi in Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma. We lost him to a massive cardiac arrest today morning. He was an amazing actor and a very positive person. He truly Loved the show and always came for the shoot even if he was not feeling well. He called today morning that he is not well and will not be able to come for the shoot. And later we got the news that he passed away. We are all too numb to say anything.”

The sudden demise of Kavi Kumar has also shocked the audience who had loved the show and its characters.
