Disha Vakani might not return to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

The fans of Disha Vakani, who plays Dayaben in the popular TV series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, had rejoiced when there were reports that the actress will soon return to the show. But recent reports have said that the actress might not be able to return to the show due to her responsibilities towards her daughter.

Disha had taken a maternity break from the show which broke millions of hearts of the audience and were waiting for her to return to the show. Producer Asit Kumar Modi had also hoped for her return and had given a hope that she might come back to the show. Looks like Dayaben, might not be able to return to the show anytime soon.

Reports say that Disha wants to focus on her daughter and that her husband is unwilling to let her work. Moreover, there are also reports that the actress has hiked her fees to return to the show and had demanded a whopping Rs. 1.5 lakhs per episode. Disha Vakani had reportedly also put a condition that she would work for 15 days between 11 am to 6 pm.

No one knows if the reports are true or if they are just rumours. Producer Asit Kumar Modi in an earlier interview had said, “The shooting conditions are tough and since Disha’s baby is still very young she needs her. We haven’t discussed her return yet and there is no official confirmation on Disha quitting TMKOC.” The characters Dayaben and Jethalal are known for their comic timings and have been the show’s USP.
