Shahid Kapoor sheds 14 kilos for his look in Kabir Singh

Once again Bollywood heartthrob, Shahid Kapoor is all set to deliver a fine performance in Kabir Singh. The actor has never hesitated to undergo physical changes when his character demands. After going through a physical change for the film Padmaavat, the actor shed 14 kilos to essay the role of a medical student in the official Hindi remake of the South Blockbuster flick Arjun Reddy. The teaser of the film is out and Shahid surely looks promising.

Shahid’s transformation as Kabir Singh has got all the female fans drooling as his pictures from the film have gone viral. The actor’s trainer Samir Juara talked about Shahid’s transformation that he had to undergo for two different looks in the film. The trainer said, “It was the first time since Ishq Vishk (2003) that Shahid would be seen as a college goer. So, I put him on a strict 1400-1500 calorie diet a day, along with extensive cardio sessions to achieve a lean look”.

The Padmaavat actor also completely changed his regime completely for the second half of the film that has shown him setting out on a self-destructive path after he loses the love of his life. For the puffy and alcoholic look, Shahid was put on a diet that was packed with carbs, dense dairy products and protein. Kabir Singh will be releasing in theatres on June 21, 2019.
