Deepika Padukone starrer Chhapaak official trailer out now!

Deepika Padukone’s maiden production venture Chhapaak official trailer has been released. The audience has been waiting to catch the official trailer since the time, the makers had unveiled Deepika’s look as an acid attack victim. The actress had striking similarity with Laxmi Agarwal, whose real story will be narrated in the film.

The trailer opens with massive protests on the streets from people demanding justice for the acid attack victim. Later the victim was seen confronting the accused who was supposedly her boyfriend who had attacked her with acid. The film also stars Vikrant Massey, who is seen working as a social worker and also the character Malti’s love interest.

At a point, Malti (the acid attack victim) can be seen celebrating after the accused has been punished by the court. Now that the film has been released, the fans can have a better idea of the film which was so far kept under wraps. But still a few leaks from the sets of the Delhi schedule had earlier given a slight idea about the look of the characters.

Chhapaak is directed by Meghna Gulzar, who has earlier worked on films like Raazi. The audience has a lot of expectations from the film which is all set to be released in theatres on January 10, 2020.
