Indian actor Sonu Sood during the lockdown period emerged as a hero for a number of migrants in the country as he helped thousands of them to reach their respective homes. Now the actor has donated 25,000 face shields to the Maharashtra police personnel.
The news was shared by Home Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh, who thanked the actor for his gesture. Mr. Deshmukh had shared a picture that saw the two of them posing for the picture but are standing apart to maintain distance. The minister also shared a picture that showed the two of them sitting apart while in a meeting.
Sonu was quick to respond to the Tweet and expressed that he was honored by the kind words and that the police brothers and sisters are the real heroes and that this is the least that he can do for the commendable work that they have been doing. The actor is now all set to pen-down his experience in a book. His first book is yet to be titled and will be revealing a emotional and challenging journey the actor went through.
The book is expected to be released later in 2020 and is announced by the publishing house Penguin Random House India on July 15, 2020. Sonu Sood by every possible means helped the migrant workers reach their homes in different parts of the countries during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
