Indian actress Alia Bhatt is known for delivering some great performances in Bollywood. Now the actress has also turned an entrepreneur by launching her kids-wear brand Ed-a-mama. The new brand will be available on the online baby store FirstCry and the price range begins from Rs. 350. Ed-a-mama is also expected to be launched on other online retailers like Flipkart and Amazon.
The specialty about the brand is it offers a range of apparel for children that is sourced naturally and is sustainable for children between the age group of 2-14 years. Alia Bhatt during an interview with a leading daily said that the fashion market for women is already saturated and there are not many options in terms of world class fashion for children that is made in India.
Bhatt also informed that the range that she has come up is made from organic cotton and non-plastic buttons are being used. Even leftover fabrics have been used to make hair ties and other accessories. The Student of The Year actress added that the t-shirts in the range have environment centric messages. Moreover, all the orders that are placed comes with a seed ball that has seeds of live plants that will motivate the children and parents to motivate to plant trees.
Bhatt also informed that nearly 70 percent of their range has been sold out since it was launched about six weeks back.
