The government of Maharashtra has imposed a strict lockdown in the state for the next 15 days as a safety measure to deal with the new strain of the coronavirus pandemic. However, this is not a good news for the filmmakers and the TV Industry as the shoots have been stalled. But a number shoots of the series were stalled earlier after a number of people from the set tested positive for the virus.
So far the shoots were allowed with a few restrictions with no crowd on the sets or background dancers with 33 percent crew present at the location. After the fresh restrictions from April 15, 2021, a number of producers are looking forward to shoot in other states.
Soon a number of film associations expressed their concerns about the lockdown. Aadesh Bhandekar, the head of Shiv Sena’s film wing said they have requested the government to at least allow the post-production work with restrictions. Bhandekar added that last year they had done this work from home, but this year they have hopes that the government will be allowing to do this work from the studios.
Meanwhile, the lockdown could be for just 15 days, but the people are expecting that the lockdown could be extended further as well. The pandemic has affected the entertainment industry severely.
