Bollywood star Akshay Kumar might be facing a down time in the industry at the moment but that does not stop him from moving on. After his recent release Samrat Prithviiraj, the actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Raksha Bandhan, ready to be released in theatres in August 2022. While there is still time for the release, the actor is expected to begin shoot for his upcoming film Capsule Gill.
The upcoming film is a biopic on the chief mining engineer Jaswant Gill and Akshay will be seen playing the lead character. Akshay for the shoot is expected to head to the United Kingdom to begin work with director Tinu Suresh Desai of Rustom fame. The story of the film is based on the life of Jaswant Gill, who had led the rescue operation to save nearly 60 lives when the coal mine at Raniganj was flooded in 1989.
Reports say that Akshay is expected to shoot in the United Kingdom till the end of July, 2022. After the shoot, the actor is expected to return to India and promote his upcoming film Raksha Bandhan.
On the work front, Akshay has a number of projects that include Ram Setu, OMG 2 – Oh My God! 2, Selfie and Mission Cinderella.
