Rakhi Sawant’s mother Jaya Bheda passes away at the age of 73

Indian actress Rakhi Sawant’s mother Jaya Bheda passed away after a long battle of endometrial cancer on January 28, 2023. Sawant with a heavy heart announced the news through a WhatsApp message. Soon after the news spread, several friends and colleagues from the industry sent across condolences. Jaya Bheda was being treated for endometrial cancer at the CritiCare Asia Multispeciality Hospital & Research Centre.

Deepak Namjoshi, a pulmonologist and director at the facility while talking about Jaya’s condition revealed that she suffered from stage four endometrial cancer which had spread to her brain, liver and lungs. The doctor also revealed that she was earlier being treated at another hospital and was later referred here.

The funeral took place on January 30, 2023. Rakhi was seen inconsolable at the funeral ceremony. The actress was known to be very close to her mother and had kept sharing about her health updates with her fans and followers on social media.

During her stint on the show Bigg Boss Rakhi had revealed that she was on the show to cover the expenses of her mother’s cancer treatment. A couple of days back the actress had shared a video on Instagram while appealing her fans and followers to pray for her mother. This was also when Salman Khan’s brother Sohail Khan had extended financial help to cover the hospital bills.
