The Don franchise has been loved by the audience and the next in line is ready to go on floors by the second half of 2024. Don 3 shoot is expected to begin soon and is touted to be one of the biggest hits in Bollywood due to be released in 2025. Reports have said that Don 3 is going to have Ranveer Singh in the lead role. It was in May 2023 when it was reported that Shah Rukh Khan decided to exit the franchise. Shah Rukh while talking about the reason behind his exit stated that he wanted to explore films in the commercial space that has a bigger reach of audience.
The decision forced director Farhan Akhtar to reboot the story with a younger generation star. The first part of Don had Amitabh Bachchan while the second part had Shah Rukh Khan and now Ranveer Singh is expected to be seen in the third installment. Although the news seems exciting, not everyone was happy with the development. One of the section of the media also went ahead and called the development as fake and a rumour.
There are also reports that Farhan has already shot for a video for an announcement on the development which means that an official announcement can soon be expected. A source has also revealed that the teaser of Don 3 could be out this week. This means that the introduction will happen through an official teaser. Ranveer is expected to be seen in a very cool character in Don 3.
The teaser is expected to be screened in the cinema halls throughout the independence week with Gadar 2. Ranveer is expected to begin filming for Don 3 after he wraps up filming for Baiju Bawra by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Farhan is once again ready to don the hat of a director. With the developments reported, the audience is surely excited to know more.
