Indian filmmaker Rohit Shetty is preparing for the upcoming film Singham Again from the popular Singham franchise. The film will have Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor in the lead. It was earlier reported that Vicky Kaushal stepped out of Singham Again due to date related issues. A recent piece of report has revealed that the makers have added that Deepika Padukone will be added to the cast of the film and will be playing the role of Ajay Devgn’s sister.
Further reports have revealed that the actress will be playing a the role of a female cop, who will be from the Singham family. Rohit Shetty intends to portray the reputation of the Singham family as the most patriotic and willing to serve the nation. More reports say that Deepika’s character is an interesting one and is more like an extended appearance for the actress in Singham. The Bajirao Mastani actress is expected to shot for the role for nearly 35 to 40 days.
Th upcoming film is a multi-starrer film which will also feature Tiger Shroff in a cameo. Rohit Shetty’s films have always been known for its interesting cameos from different stars from the industry. Singham Again is expected to go on floors in September 2023 and is expected to be released in theatres in August 2024.
With Deepika Padukone as a part of the cast and other stars like Akshay, Ajay, Kareena and Ranveer, it will be interesting and exciting for the audience to watch them on the silver screens. Rohit Shetty movies have seldom disappointed the audience. Singham Again could be another jewel in the cop franchise. Rohit recently hosted 13th season of the popular reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi which is the Indian version of the American reality show Fear Factor. The director has been the host of the show ever since the 5th season of Khatron Ke Khiladi.
