BollywoodGaram.com: Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan was on October 26, 2013 honoured at the Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar Awards, which was held in Mumbai. The ‘Don’ actor was accompanied by his wife Jaya Bachchan at the event.
The 71-year-old actor on his blog wrote, “And then a truly proud moment .. a reward at the hands of the Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar ji for my contribution to cinema.” The blog post stated that it was a historic moment as they were celebrating 71 years of his life which coincided with 71 years of the veteran singer’s entry into film, music and songs.
At some point, Mangeshkar had to leave the event as she suddenly fell ill.
