Bollywood Garam: Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruti Haasan has really grown up. We don’t mean only the fact that she has a band and she is acting in movies, but the latest buzz in town is that Miss Haasan is in a live-in relationship with south Indian actor Siddharth.
A friend of the couple told a local news agency that the two decided to live-in since they are very much in love, and Shruti wants to stay close to her new boyfriend so that the relationship works. It is also believed that the ‘Luck’ actress has turned down 5 major film offers and is even prepared to reject Bollywood for a career in south India, all for the sake of her love. (romantic!)
So what does Papa Haasan have to say about this? The source added that Kamal is well aware of all this and the two even have his blessings. Though Shruti’s mother Sarika has not commented on the relationship yet.
Siddharth was previously married to his childhood flame Meghna in 2003, but the couple later divorced in 2006 – the same year when his acclaimed movie ‘ Rang De Basanti’ made him famous.
But many critics feel that Shruti is going down the same path that her parents Kamal Haasan and Sarika had taken. Though her parents separated in 2002, they had z live-in relationship from 1988 till the time Shruti’s younger sister Akshara was born. They only tied the knot after the birth of their children.
Does it seem that Shruti Haasan is going the same way? Call it plain stupid or call it love, only time will tell if this is a wise decision for Shruti.
