Madhuri Dixit's first look in Gulab Gang revealed

Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit’s first look in the upcoming movie ‘Gulab Gang’ has been revealed. In the pictures, Madhuri can be seen with bruises on her face and hands. The movie is inspired by the Gulabi Gang in Bundelkhand, in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The gang fights for the rights of women in the region and the movie is directed by Soumik Sen. The movie will see Madhuri return to the big screen in a major role, after a gap of almost six years. The actress was last seen in an item song with Ranbir Kapoor in the movie ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’.

While talking about her role, Madhuri said, “I am happy that I am a part of a film which doesn’t portray women as avenger or victim anymore. It’s quite a strong film and when Soumik Sen (director) narrated me the script, I could not say no to him as I really liked the script. Female are protagonists in the film”. The actress will be seen acting with Juhi Chawla, who was her competitor once upon a time.

This will be the first time that Juhi and Madhuri will be sharing the screen space together. In the upcoming movie, Madhuri will be seen as an aggressive woman and the actress said that the audience will be seeing a very different side of her.
