Minissha Lamba relieved by custom officials in Mumbai

Bollywood Garam: After facing an embarrassing situation at the Mumbai Airport, actress Minissha Lamba has been relieved from the customs rope. The actress was recently detained by the customs officials for possessing undeclared jewellery worth more than Rs. 40 lakhs.

Minissha’s trip to the 64th Annual Cannes Festival wasn’t a pleasant one, as she had almost missed her appearance at the red carpet and then she lost her baggage at the Nice Airport in France while she was returning back from the festival. And then after she landed in Mumbai, the actress was caught by the airline customs officials and was even detained for more than 12 hours. Minissha had been very co-operative with the officials and had answered all the questions that were put to her.

The matter had become complicated as the ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ actress reportedly forgot to carry the essential documents of the jewellery, though some reports say that she had all the essential paperwork. The jewellery were actually given to the actress for the sake of promotion, but Lamaba did not declare the jewellery when she flew from Cannes.

Reports state that the officials had been contemplating arresting the actress, but the jewelers had arrived in time with the documents to save the actress from further embarrassment. Minissha had been constantly tweeting about her experience at the Nice airport, where she had lost her baggage.
