Bollywood Garam: The issue of reservations in educational institutes and government jobs in a country like India will always remain fresh and controversial. Such a sensitive topic has been chosen as a subject in Prakash Jha’s upcoming flick ‘Aarakshan’, after the success of ‘Raajneeti’.
The first look of the movie starring Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Prateik Babbar has been released. In the movie, Big B will be seen playing the role of the principal of the college. Saif is a talented dalit student and a teacher. Deepika plays the love interest of Saif, while Prateik plays the role of Saif’s best friend. The real story of the movie starts as soon as the court announces 50 percent reservations.
Every character in the movie then has their own part and reaction on the judgment. Later things go totally out of control that the college almost comes to the verge of getting demolished.
Prakash Jha is known for making movies on sensitive issues. In his earlier movie ‘Raajneeti’ the director had shown the darker side of politics in democracy. ‘Raajneeti’ had Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgn in the lead roles. With the success of ‘Raajneeti’ there are also high expectations with ‘Aarakshan’.
