Bollywood Garam: The legendary singer, musician, lyricist and scriptwriter late Kishore Kumar is remembered on his birthday on 4thof August. The legendary singer is still remembered for some of his works that he had contributed during the good old days of cinema.
Kishore was born in Bengali Brahmin family in the central province of Berar, which is now in Madhya Pradesh. His birth name was Abhas Kumar Ganguly, whose father Kunjalal Ganguly was a lawyer.
The singer was the youngest among the four siblings with Ashok Kumar the eldest one. Ashok had shot to fame in Bollywood, while Kishore was still a child. Being with siblings in the film industry, the singer too developed interest in the industry.
He considers Kundan Lal Saigal as his inspiration as well as guru and had tried to follow the style of him. Kishore as a child was weak in the subject of Mathematics and used to learn his lessons by singing them to his tunes. Kumar was also known for his sense of humor, which he used to make use and bring it in to his songs. Kishore got married to Rumi Devi, with whom the marriage did not last long and then he married to actress Madhubala.
