Akshay Kumar and Himesh Reshammiya to work together in ‘Khiladi’ series

After a long gap, Akshay Kumar will be back in the ‘Khiladi’ series. Singer and actor Himesh Reshammiya is already planning for his film next year along with Akshay Kumar.

Both the actors will be producing a comedy movie with the title ‘Khiladi 786 Made In Punjab’ which is expected to be released by Diwali 2012. Ashish Mohan will be directing the movie which will be of action comedy genre.

Some of the sources from the production unit have said that the date for release was decided by Akshay, who will also play the title role in the flick. On the other hand Himesh will be playing the role of Mansukh, who is a Gujarati boy.

Actor Paresh Rawal, will be playing the role of Himesh’s father Champak Lal in the movie and the female leads are yet to be finalized. The last film that Akshay had done for the ‘Khiladi’ series was ‘Khiladi 420 that was released in the year 2000. Attempts are being made by the makers to rope in Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra for the movie. The concept of the movie was thought by the composer Himesh, who will also be composing music for the movie. When asked Himesh, he had said that it was too early to talk about it.
