In the inaugural Pro Kabaddi League, that lasted a month and a half, Abhishek Bachchan owned Jaipur Pink Panthers claimed victory at the finale held at the NSCI arena in Mumbai on August 31, 2014. Bachchan was present to support his team along with his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan .
In the final, the Jaipur Pink Panthers faced tough competition from the home team U Mumba. It was a keenly fought battle that ended in 35-24. The venue was sold out and requests for passes were on the rise.
This is the first time the sport of Kabaddi was encouraged by celebrities in a league. The next season is planned in March 2015.
