Agneepath Remake by South Filmmakers?

Bollywood Garam: After Bollywood movie ‘3 Idiots’ ruled the box office, the south film makers gave in to make a Tamil remake. And now it is Agneepath which has broken all the earlier records and has given confidence to the film makers that it has the prospect to be a successful movie down south.

The original movie ‘Agneepath’ was released in the year 1990, but flopped at the box office when it was released. However, the remake produced by Karan Johar and directed by Karan Malhotra hit the jackpot and has proved itself as a major success.

Now south film makers are now hoping to buy the rights of the Karan Johar movie for the remake. Reports said that Johar has been receiving many calls from the south film makers. But Karan has not yet decided on who to sell the remake rights to. The movie was very close to Johar due to which he wants to make sure that he sells the rights to the most competent film maker.

In the Hindi remake, Hrithik Roshan was seen playing the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan along with Priyanka Chopra, Rishi Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt as Kaancha Cheena. It would be interesting to see who will be playing the role of Vijay Dinanath in the south remake.
