Bollywood actor Aamir Khan might be receiving some criticism from some of the sections of the society with reference with his show Satyamev Jayate. But despite the negative aspects, the show has helped the Muktangan Rehabilitation Centre raise Rs.4.27 lakhs.
The centre helps people to get de-addicted from substance/alcohol abuse. The actor met Mukta Puntambekar, the founder of Muktangan and her husband on July 6 and handed over the cheque collected by ‘Satyamev Jayate’ and Reliance Foundation, which is the show’s philanthropy partner. The money will be used by the centre to help the under-privileged children who are addicts. Aamir’s show has constantly raised some of the sensitive issues from the society so as to create some awareness and development.
