Day three of the Amazon India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016 saw various designers showcasing their collection. Designer Anamika Khanna has constantly maintained a standard while showcasing her collection.
Khanna said, “I’ve been feeling very patriotic lately and have been thinking about how we must embrace and celebrate our Indianness in fashion, beyond bridal…and rejigging it so that comfort and wearability is of prime importance”. The collection has a feel of Indianness and has translated thoughts to her outfits.
The designer has successfully modernized traditional shapes, ideas and embroideries. There were kurtas, saris, bandhgalas and other Indian outfits that took away the attention from the audience.
