Indian actor Irrfan Khan launched the trailer of the Marathi movie ‘Waakya’ at an event in Mumbai on November 16, 2015. Many of the Bollywood stars are slowly getting attracted towards Marathi movies. After Salman Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Huma Qureshi, Tisca Chopra and Vidya Balan, Irrfan Khan is all set to make his debut in Marathi flicks.
Khan has earlier made his mark in Hollywood and is now eyeing the Marathi film industry. The actor while interacting with the media said that the subject of the Marathi movies made these days have the potential to leave a lasting impact on the audience.
The movie is directed by Deepak Kadam and is based on the need of education for the tribals.
