Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh attended the 6 hour long Telethon along with cricketer Sourav Ganguly, Venkatesh Kini and Vikram Chandra to raise funds for the Coca-Cola NDTV Support My School campaign. The celebrities ended up raising Rs. 20 crores that will help revitalise 1,000 schools in 23 states while benefitting more than 300,000 students in the rural as well as semi-urban India.
Singh at the event expressed that everyone has to play their parts so as to bring the country forward.
Ganguly is the brand ambassador of the initiative who said that the nation needs more such initiatives for the better future of the country.
