Popular celebrity fashion photographer Prabuddha Dasgupta on August 12, 2012 died due to heart attack. The colleagues of the deceased photographer said that he was 58 years old and was the recipient of many grants , awards including Yves Saint Lauren grant for photography in the year 1991.
Designer Manav Gangwani said, “Last year he was at my show and he wanted to shoot my collection. I am really sad that he is not amongst us. I think there is some uncanny connection that today on my show he is not here….While rehearsing we were in tears. But such is life and it has to move on”. Dasgupta’s work has been exhibited internationally in solo as well as group shows.
