Bollywood actress Asin Thottumkal got married in an intimate ceremony with beau Rahul Sharma, a Delhi based businessman on January 19, 2016. A Catholic ceremony took place in the morning in a chapel in Delhi. The couple later had a Hindu wedding ceremony in the evening followed by a lavish dinner.
Asin and Sharma not just had an intimate wedding but also made sure to share their joy by sponsoring celebrations in different orphanages in Delhi and Kochi. The celebrations included decorations, gifts and meals for the kids in the orphanages. Reports say that it was Asin’s idea of sharing their joy.
Special cake cutting ceremonies were organized in the afternoon at the orphanages to celebrate Asin and Rahul’s wedding. The couple had insisted in keeping the wedding celebrations simple and there were just 100 invitees that included close friends and family of the couple. Actor Akshay Kumar, a close friend of Asin, who played cupid between the couple was seen attending the celebrations.
Asin and Rahul will be hosting a special reception for their colleagues and friends in Mumbai on January 23, 2016. Rahul is the co-founder of the Indian phone manufacturing company Micromax, who has been dating Asin for a while.
