Shriya Saran alleges Rana Daggubati used her name for ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ promotions

Bollywood Garam: Amidst reports of a budding romance between south star Rana Daggubati and Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu, actress Shriya Saran has expressed her anger towards Rana and his upcoming film ‘Dum Maaro Dum’. The actress has alleged that the stars of the film are unnecessarily using her name in the wrong way for the promotions of the movie. It was also alleged that Shriya was responsible for the break up between her and Rana.

Shriya  is actually upset over the reports which state that break up between Rana and her. The “Mission Istanbul” actress got furious and said that she is being forcefully dragged in to the matter. Shriya also expressed her anger by saying that they are using her name to publicize the movie and these rumours are baseless, and the product of PR houses to increase hype surrounding the movie’s launch.

The “Awaarapan” star, who is currently shooting in Sri Lanka, said that she was never romantically involved with Rana. Shriya, who is famous for her role in ‘Sivaji’, also said that her parents are more upset than her after seeing their daughter getting involved for the wrong reasons. Shriya and Rana were once best friends, but later on parted their ways due to unknown reasons.

The actress went on saying that she and Rana have known each other since school days, but never had any romantic connection between them. Shriya is right now working on Deepa Mehta’s ‘Midnight’s Children’.
