Veteran actress Asha Parekh and former Censor Board Chief on October 2, 2012 turned 70 years old. The actress on her birthday bash was wished by veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Helen and many other Bollywood biggies.
The party was also attended by actress Juhi Chawla and her husband Jai Mehta. The veteran actress was wished by Mr. Bachchan on Monday night and tweeted, “Asha Parekh turns 70 today! Goodness, life does go past rather rapidly … went across to wish her at a celebration at Sun ‘n’ Sand”. Parekh started off in the industry as a child artist and later gave many hits like ‘Love In Tokyo’, ‘Kati Patang’ and ‘Dil Deke Dekho’.
