The glittery IIFA celebrations officially opened at a press conference in Madrid on June 23, 2016. The opening event saw Shahid Kapoor, Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Tiger Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Farhan Akhtar, Shilpa Shetty, Fawad Khan and others.
Apart from the celebrities, the press event saw the presence of the media, dignitaries and friends of IIFA.
Filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra also unveiled a special teaser of his upcoming movie ‘Mirzya’.
