The Vogue India Fashion Fund is the contest that helps the budding designers with exposure, financial help and mentoring in the industry to help turn their labels in to popular names. This was first launched in 2012 and every edition has been better than the previous. In 2015, the Vogue had introduced two major segments sari and accessories in the women’s wear category.
The jury of the contest consisted of designers Anita Dongre, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Gaurav Gupta, fashion entrepreneur Pernia Qureshi, president of FDCI Sunil Sethi, Alka Nishar of Aza, Priya Tanna the Vogue India editor and others. Designer duo Pranav Mishra and Shyama Shetty of Huemn were announced as the winners while the first runner up in the women’s wear category were designer duo Gursi Singh and Amrita Khanna of Lovebirds.
Other finalists of the edition were Kanika Goel of the Kanika Goel label and Sonal Verma of Rara Avis. The event also saw the presence of Saiyami Kher, Michelle Poonawala, Ramona Narang, Surveen Chawla, Payal Khandwala, Patralekha, Nachiket Barve, NIshka and Neeta Lulla and others.
