Karan Johar throws lavish bash as close friend Manish Malhotra turns 51

Filmmaker Karan Johar threw a lavish party for close friend and colleague Manish Malhotra on his 50th birthday at a plush hotel in Mumbai on December 5, 2016. Celebrities from Bollywood attended the bash hosted by the ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ director.

Malhotra turned 51 and celebrities who came to wish him included Sridevi with family Boney Kapoor and daughters Jhanvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor with Saif Ali Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with husband Abhishek Bachchan, Karisma Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Shamita Shetty, Akshay Kumar with wife Twinkle Khanna, Lara Dutta, Dia Mirza with husband Sahil Sangha, Malaika Arora and sister Amrita Arora, BIpasha Basu with husband Karan Singh Grover, Shraddha Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Athiya Shetty, Sonam Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Imran Khan with wife Avantika, Urvashi Rautela, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sophie Chaudry, Sooraj Pancholi, Sushmita Sen, David Dhawan, Nita and Mukesh Ambani, Madhuri Dixit with husband Dr. Shriram Nene, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, Tiger Shroff, Farah Khan, Juhi Chawla, Katrina Kaif, Shweta Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, Alia Bhatt, Ayush Sharma and Arpita Khan, Varun Dhawan and others.

Karan Johar sent out invites for the bash and had a dress code of formal wear in gold. The ones who caught attention was Kareena Kapoor, who looked gorgeous in a black gown with a plunging neckline. Kareena is expected to deliver her first baby with Saif in December 2016.

Virat and Anushka too looked elegant in coordinated outfits in black. Sridevi too made a grand entry with husband Boney and daughters Jhanvi and Khushi. Jhanvi is all set to make a debut in Bollywood with the Hindi remake of the Marathi movie ‘Sairaat’.
