Bollywood actress Pooja Bhatt recently criticised the way gay people are portrayed in Bollywood movies. The actress took to Twitter to express her views on the sensitive subject.
Pooja tweeted, “Maybe some day we will portray gay people in Hindi films with the dignity they deserve. Tired of seeing them only used to evoke laughter”. Pooja’s half sister Alia Bhatt has featured in the movie which has a principal, who is homosexual. The role of the gay principal has been played by Rishi Kapoor, who is seen wearing pink outfits with matching glares. ‘Student Of The Year’ is also Alia Bhatt’s first movie.
